Hadi Wibowo obtained approval from the Financial Services Authority based on the Decision of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority Number KEP-41/D.03/2020 on 3 April 2020 and became effective as President Director on 16 April 2020. He was reappointed as President Director in PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPN Syariah) in accordance with the resolution of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 12 April 2023 with the term of office until the closing of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be convened in 2026.
Prior to serving as President Director, he had served as Chief of Process Transformation in BTPN Syariah since January 2020.
Hadi Wibowo has more than 32 years of experience in various aspects of banking throughout his career, ranging from Retail Banking, Operations, Digital Banking to Micro Banking. Starting his career in AC Nielsen as a Retail Research Executive, Retail Audit (1991-1993), he went on to serve in various senior-level positions in leading private banks in Indonesia among others as Director of Operations and Director of SME at PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (formerly PT BANK BTPN Tbk) (SMBCI) including as Branchless Banking Head where he has put so much effort to work on Financial Inclusion initiatives and being team leader in opening access to financial services for the inclusive communities. His full dedication led him to win the Schwab Foundation Corporate Social Intrapreneur of The Year award in 2020. Schwab Foundation is a sister organization of World Economic A forum that supports the development of social innovation around the world, as well as the Best Digital Financial Inclusion Initiative, Application or Program award from the Asian Banker Retail Financial Services Awards.
An enthusiasm and aspirations Hadi Wibowo has in empowering the inclusive communities began since he joined PT Bank Danamon Tbk, when he jointly developed the Self-Employed Mass Market business. When later joined SMBCI, he then developed a capacity building program and produced customer capacity building modules in the scope of financial literacy. He also held various other senior positions including Distribution & Sales Force Development and e-Banking.
His banking career began at Bank Universal covering the areas of Corporate Liability Business, Cash Management, Cash Pooling, Electronic Banking, Product Development, Remote Banking Operations, Response Center & Distribution Shop.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1991.
He currently holds a Level 5 Risk Management Certification and various risk management certification programs from the Banking Professional Certification Institute (LSPP) and the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) along with Refresher programs in the Banking Risk Management area (Executive Class). He is also active in other various training programs such as: Sharia Banking Fundamentals Training by the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI) and Islamic Banking Training by Karim Consulting Indonesia, trainings organized by RSD Consultant, BARA, HARVARD Kennedy School, Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) Singapore, UC Berkeley, NTU Singapore, SRG Singapore, INSEAD, Covey Leadership Center, National University of Singapore, Visa International, IBC Technical Service Ltd Singapore, Sustainable Finance Action training, National Economic Recovery Program, Strategic Seminar within the SMBC Group financial group in the Macro area Economy, Economic Outlook, Strategic Plan, APAC ESG Strategy.
In terms of organizations, Hadi Wibowo currently serves as Chairman of the Social Committee in the Indonesian Sharia Bank Association (ASBISINDO) with term of office from 2021 until 2024.
Hadi Wibowo does not hold any other position outside BTPN Syariah and has no affiliation with the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, Sharia Supervisory Board and Controlling Shareholders.
